Pakistan’s Educational Institutions Celebrate Independence Day with Enthusiasm

ISLAMABAD: The spirit of Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day reverberated across various educational institutions in the federal capital, as students and staff united to celebrate the historic occasion with unmatched zeal.

Multiple colleges within the Islamabad Capital Territory came together to orchestrate a symphony of events that showcased their deep-rooted patriotism and unwavering commitment to the nation.

The festivities kicked off at Islamabad Model Postgraduate College H-8, where Dr. Muhammad Khalid, the esteemed principal, hoisted the national flag alongside dedicated college staff. This symbolic gesture embodied the ideals of freedom and unity, while professors Imran Shehzad and Khalid Mahmood provided insightful reflections on the historical journey that led to Pakistan’s birth.

Meanwhile, Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG) I-8/3 witnessed a heartwarming flag-hoisting ceremony led by Principal Professor Sadia Ibrar. The event set the stage for a day of profound significance, highlighted by a tree-planting initiative symbolizing the nation’s growth and progress since its inception. The college grounds became a canvas for students to showcase their talents through painting and essay competitions, accompanied by soul-stirring renditions of the national anthem.

At Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB) H-9, a sense of historical reverence filled the air as the flag soared high. Enlightening speeches delved into the historical tapestry that weaved Pakistan into existence, with Principal Professor Javaid Iqbal Mughal stressing the vital role of educators in nurturing the next generation for a brighter future.

IMCG (Postgraduate) F-7/2 embraced the festivities with the timeless resonance of the national anthem. Professor Somia Suhail’s passionate address ignited a surge of patriotism, while Dr. Irum Shiekh eloquently articulated the nation’s call for determination and hope to overcome present challenges. Principal Dr. Fouzia Tanveer Sheikh planted a sapling in the college garden, symbolizing the nation’s ongoing growth and progress.

This celebration of patriotism extended beyond these institutions, resonating within the walls of IMCB F-10/4, Islamabad Model College of Commerce H-8/4, IMCG Bhara Kahu, IMCG Humak, IMCG G-10/4, and IMCB Sihala, among others.
