Pakistan’s Finance Minister Hails FBR for Surpassing Revenue Collection Target

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, on Monday visited the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) headquarters where he met with Chairman Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana and other board members.

Minister of State for Finance and Revenue, Ali Pervez Malik, also participated via video link from Lahore.

During the meeting, the Finance Minister commended Team FBR for their outstanding performance in exceeding the revenue collection target for the fiscal year 2023-24, achieving Rs. 9311 billion.

Aurangzeb expressed confidence in FBR’s capabilities and emphasized the Board’s crucial role in fulfilling the Government’s fiscal objectives. Minister of State Malik also praised Team FBR for surpassing the annual revenue target despite various challenges.

In recognition of their achievement, the Finance Minister, along with the Chairman FBR and Board Members, celebrated by cutting a cake.

The occasion highlighted the Government’s dedication to strengthening FBR and supporting initiatives for revenue enhancement, digitalization, and economic documentation.
