Pakistan’s Finance Minister Reviews Airport Outsourcing Progress

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar on Tuesday chaired the Steering Committee meeting tasked with overseeing and shepherding the progress of initiatives entwined with outsourcing airport operations.

Khawaja Saad Rafique, the Minister for Aviation and Railways; Tariq Bajwa, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Finance, alongside the Chief Executive Officer of the Public Partnership Authority, the Director General of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, and other top government officials attended the meeting, a press release, issued from the finance ministry, read.

The committee was comprehensively apprised of the current status of the Islamabad Airport outsourcing initiative. It was highlighted that the transactional phase, which includes the advertisement of this endeavor, has been effectively disseminated across prominent local and international newspapers.

Finance Minister Lauds Efforts of Committee Members

Senator Ishaq Dar, the Finance Minister, lauded the collaborative efforts and contributions of all committee members. He said that their collective dedication had paved the way for the outsourcing plan aimed at instilling the finest international aviation practices and services within Pakistani airports.

Minister for Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafique expressed gratitude to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar for his continuous support throughout the entire process. On behalf of the involved authorities, he acknowledged the key role played by the Finance Minister in ensuring the success of this outsourcing.
