Pakistan’s FM Bilawal to visit Indonesia, Singapore from December 7-9

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is all set to undertake state trips to Indonesia and Singapore from December 7-9 where he is scheduled to hold dialogues with his concerned foreign counterparts along with attending events of international significance.

The resort town of Bali, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is set to hold a bilateral discussion with Foreign Minister of Indonesia Retno Marsudi.

Indonesia event on Democracy

According to a statement from the Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson, the Foreign Minister will participate in two multilateral events including the fifteenth Bali Democracy Forum and along with a global event on Afghan women’s education, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a press statement.

In the Forum, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari would elaborate on Pakistan’s long-running tradition of upholding values of democratic values and the significance of democracy in relation to the challenges of modern society.

At the global meet on Afghan women’s education, Bilawal would be highlighting efforts by Pakistan to help bring about development and enduring peace in Afghanistan. Bilawal would stress the value of equal educational chances for all segments of society.

During his stay in Singapore, Bilawal will hold a meeting with his Indonesian counterpart Dr Vivian Balakrishnan along with having a discussion with President Halimah Yacob. A broad spectrum of country-to-country ties will be talked about during these sittings. The Foreign Office statement added that Bilawal’s meetings in Singapore and Indonesia highlight the high-level priority Pakistan holds for ASEAN countries and resolve to keep bettering ties with Singapore and Indonesia. – APP
