KARACHI: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Saturday said that Pakistan fought terrorists in the past and is still ready to fight terrorism, adding that the nation will defeat terrorists, underlining that Pakistan will succeed against terrorists despite the lack of resources.

While addressing Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers in Karachi, FM Bilawal questioned how national security could be compromised. “Nation fought terrorists in the past and is still ready to fight terrorism, and we will defeat terrorists,” the minister said.

FM Bilawal said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s biggest sin is raising routed militants back to their feet.

Foreign minister says APS attackers fled abroad

Bilawal stated that the culprits of the Peshawar’s Army Public School (APS) attack fled abroad during Imran Khan’s tenure. “Terrorists involved in the Peshawar APS attack got released from captivity and are now giving lectures in Turkiye,” he said.

“Those who termed us as an imported government, actually, imported terrorism. Imran Khan released terrorists from prisons,” the foreign minister said.

The foreign minister said Imran Khan made a deal on the martyr’s blood.

“There will be no compromise on the security of Pakistan. We will defeat terrorists and bring peace,” the foreign minister said.

FM Bilawal said that Imran Khan pushed Pakistan towards default. “PTI chief will be accounted for the biggest sin,” he said.

While speaking about the recent spate of terror attacks in Pakistan, the minister said that in the past, the PPP government not only fought terrorism but also defeated the menace.

Bilawal reminded attendees of the event about the mission to take down terrorists in Pakistan of his mother and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto. “PPP’s government was formed after Benazir Bhutto’s martyrdom. Our soldiers embraced martyrdom,” he said.
