Pakistan’s Forex Reserves Reach at $9.76b: SBP

ISLAMABAD: The total forex reserves of Pakistan stood at 9,759.8 million dollars, while reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reached 4,207.9 million dollars, according to the latest data released by the central bank on Thursday.

SBP said that during the week ended on 31 March 2023, its reserves decreased by 36 million dollars to 4,207.9 million US dollars due to debt repayments.

While net foreign reserves with commercial banks stood at 5,551.9 million dollars, it added.

In the previous week ended on 24 March, total liquid forex reserves held by Pakistan were 9,815.9 million dollars.

SBP’s reserves last week

Among them, forex reserves held by the SBP were 4,244.3 million dollars, while net foreign reserves held by commercial banks were 5,571.6 million dollars.
