Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Conveys Heartfelt Condolences to Iran Over Raisi’s Death

GILGIT:  The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution extending heartfelt condolences on the sudden death of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and others in a tragic helicopter crash in Iran.

Moved by Opposition Leader Amjad Advocate, the resolution expressed profound sadness and sympathy over the devastating incident, which has plunged the Islamic world into mourning and robbed it of an esteemed leader.

Expressing solidarity, the resolution affirmed the unwavering support of the people of Pakistan for the Iranian government and its citizens during this period of profound grief.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of the late Iranian President in fostering robust bilateral ties between Iran and Pakistan, it underscored his steadfast advocacy for the oppressed populations of Kashmir and Palestine on global platforms.

In this solemn moment, the resolution extended sincere condolences to the Iranian populace, the families of the deceased, and particularly to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly beseeched the Almighty to grant solace and fortitude to the grieving families and to elevate the status of the departed souls in the hereafter.
