Pakistan’s ISSI, Turkiye’s Yunus Emre Enstitusu Sings MoU to Strengthen Collaboration

ISLAMABAD: The Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) and Yunus Emre Enstitusu, Turkiye, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday to strengthen their international collaboration.

The signing ceremony was attended by Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Pacaci, Yunus Emre Enstitusu Coordinator Dr. Halil Toker, Pakistani Ambassador to Ankara Dr. Yousaf Junaid, Director General of ISSI Ambassador Sohail Mahmood, Director of CAMEA Amina Khan, and members of Team CAMEA, read a statement.

Amina Khan highlighted the MoU as a testament to the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Turkiye, rooted in mutual respect and shared history. She emphasized that collaboration between ISSI and Yunus Emre Enstitusu would further enhance cultural and academic cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Sohail Mahmood welcomed the MoU, affirming its role in fortifying the centuries-old relationship based on cultural, religious affinities, and shared history. He emphasized Pakistan and Turkiye’s indispensable partnership and the significance of initiatives like this in strengthening multifaceted cooperation.

Ambassador Mehmet Pacaci emphasized the special relationship between Turkiye and Pakistan, advocating for more academic collaborations to deepen and expand the relationship across various dimensions. He stressed the need for further studies on present opportunities and future horizons of Pakistan-Turkish relations.

Dr. Yousaf Junaid highlighted the MoU’s significance in fostering a closer understanding between Pakistan and Turkiye, particularly emphasizing the importance of conveying this special relationship’s message to the youth of both nations. He assured full embassy support in implementing the MoU.
