Pakistan’s Liquid Foreign Reserves Surge to US $ 14.64 Billion

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan has said the total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan surged to US$ 14,644.7 million in the week ended on July 05 while the reserves held by the central bank stood at US $ 9,405.1 million.

According to a statement issued on Thursday, the SBP reserves increased by US $ 16 million to US $ 9,405.1 million during that period. Meanwhile, net foreign reserves held by commercial banks were US $ 5,239.6 million.

The SBP added the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country, in the previous week ended on June 28, recorded at $ US 14,573 million.

The foreign reserves held by the central bank were US $ 9,389.5 million while commercial banks held US $ 5,183.5 million.
