PESHAWAR: Pakistan’s Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON), Engineer Amir Muqam, conducted a visit to the Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees in Peshawar on Wednesday, seeking a detailed briefing on its operations.
During his visit, Minister Muqam received a comprehensive overview of the commissionerate activities and amenities. Muhammad Abbas Khan, the Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, provided a detailed briefing on the commissionerate functions, service provisions, and upcoming projects.
Emphasizing the efficient utilization of resources, Minister Muqam stressed the importance of achieving the commissionerate objectives effectively. He particularly underscored the necessity of maintaining an updated database to ensure accurate information.
Furthermore, the Minister highlighted the significance of data-driven decision-making to enhance operational efficiency and service standards. He expressed confidence in the commissionerate ability to fulfill its responsibilities and serve the Afghan refugee community in Pakistan.
Minister Muqam also stressed the importance of collaborative efforts and coordination among all stakeholders to address challenges and attain shared objectives. Following the briefing, he inspected various facilities within the commissionerate.
