Pakistan’s Minister Supervises Hajj Arrangements, Assures Facilities for Pilgrims

ISLAMABAD: Senator Muhammad Talha Mehmood, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, said on Monday that he supervised all Hajj arrangements and would not tolerate any shortcomings.

He emphasised that the Religious Ministry worked tirelessly to ensure that pilgrims had a hassle-free and comfortable experience.

The minister assured that government would provide all possible facilities to pilgrims and that no compromise would be tolerated on the quality of services.

He confirmed that quality food and best accommodation arrangements were underway and the travel facility for pilgrims would be top-notch.

Religious affairs minister rubbishes rumours

Regarding the rumours about collecting additional charges related to Zamzam water (Aab-e-Zam Zam), the minister clarified that no extra charges were being collected from the pilgrims.

He said that the Zamzam water dues had been included in the pilgrim package since 2017, and no pilgrim would be required to pay any extra charges.

He said that the public should ignore such rumours and have faith in the government’s efforts as it was making the best arrangements for Hajj
