Pakistan’s NA Speaker, Hungarian Envoy Discuss Strategic Partnerships

ISLAMABAD: The Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Friday said that Pakistan and Hungary long standing friendly relationship is built on shared commitments to global peace and sustainable development.

He made these remarks during a meeting with Hungarian Ambassador Bela Fazekas at the Parliament House.

During their discussion on parliamentary cooperation, the Speaker emphasized the importance of regular interactions between the two parliaments. This includes enhancing ties through parliamentary friendship groups and exchanging delegations, aimed at mutual learning and cooperation.

He also stressed the necessity to broaden collaboration in key areas such as trade, investment, and education, reflecting mutual interests.

On this occasion, Ambassador Fazekas expressed gratitude for the Speaker’s positive comments and reaffirmed Hungary’s recognition of Pakistan as a significant regional player.

He also extended an invitation to the Speaker to lead a parliamentary delegation to Hungary, underscoring Hungary’s commitment to strengthening ties through enhanced parliamentary and cultural exchanges.

The envoy further pledged proactive efforts to advance areas of mutual interest, aiming to reinforce bilateral linkages effectively.
