ISLAMABAD: Nida Ali, a Pakistani woman mountaineer from Islamabad, successfully reached the summit of the 16,000-foot Lal Bati peak in Neelum Valley, Azad Kashmir, despite challenging weather conditions.
Accompanied by her team including trekking expert Hasan Ali, Rais Inqlabi, and Khawaja Asif, they completed the ascent in 14 hours. Nida Ali’s achievement marks her as the first woman to conquer the Lal Bati mountain.
Pakistan have several other accomplished female mountaineers, including Naila Kayani, who recently scaled Mount Everest, becoming the second Pakistani woman to achieve this feat.
Naila Kayani also holds the distinction of being the first Pakistani woman to conquer five peaks above 8,000 meters, according to the Alpine Club of Pakistan. In 2013, Samina Baig, another renowned high-altitude mountaineer from Gilgit-Baltistan, made history as the first Pakistani woman to summit Mount Everest.Bottom of Form
