ISLAMABAD: The National Logistics Cell (NLC) has achieved a significant milestone in Pakistan’s agricultural export sector by delivering a shipment of mangoes from Hyderabad to Tashkent in a record time of just six days. This delivery underscores the efficiency of NLC’s logistics services and highlights the growing potential of Pakistan’s agricultural exports to Central Asia.
The shipment of approximately fifteen tons of top quality mangoes was transported using a specialized reefer container. This state-of-the-art refrigerated container was essential in preserving the quality and freshness of the mangoes throughout the 2,500-kilometer journey. The reefer container maintained the mangoes at the ideal temperature, ensuring they arrived in Tashkent in optimal condition.
The successful delivery marks a significant step forward for Pakistan’s agricultural sector, particularly in expanding its reach into Central Asian markets. This shipment of mangoes, processed according to stringent international standards, represents a substantial opportunity for Pakistan to boost its agricultural exports and earn valuable foreign exchange.
The NLC, known for its robust logistics network, has previously demonstrated its capability in transporting canoes and vegetables. The successful execution of this mango shipment highlights NLC’s commitment to facilitating exporters in accessing new and emerging markets.
