ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT)administration has granted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for a rally scheduled on September 8.

The NOC is accompanied by a notification outlining 40 guidelines for the event at Tarnol where the administration had cancelled its earlier NOC last night for today’s (Wednesday) public rally.

The notification states that security will be provided by the administration for the rally. PTI supporters are expected to assemble at the venue by 4 PM, and the rally must end by 7 PM.

Organisers are instructed to ensure that the event does not violate any citizen’s fundamental rights. Additionally, the responsibility for managing the crowd and dispersing it after the rally will fall to the PTI organisers.

Earlier today, the PTI announced that its rally scheduled to be held today in the federal capital has been deferred.

PTI senior leader Azam Swati along with Barrister Gohar announced to defer the rally. He said that the decision had been made as per the directives of the PTI founder. Barrister Gohar also shared a new date for the procession and said that they would hold a rally on September 8.

Earlier, the Islamabad district administration announced to keep all the public and private schools closed today while the red zone has also been sealed due to a procession of the former ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

In a statement via social media, a spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior Ministry said that the decision has been taken by the deputy commissioner Islamabad to ensure the safety of the students due to the current situation in the city.
