DOHA: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha on Wednesday for an official visit, following a two-day trip to Saudi Arabia, where he attended an investment conference and met with Saudi leadership. His visit to Qatar, at the invitation of Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will last two days.
Upon landing, the Prime Minister was greeted by Qatari Minister of State Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, alongside Pakistan’s ambassador to Qatar and other diplomatic officials, as reported by the PM Office Media Wing.
Accompanying him are Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Mohammad Aurangzeb, Jam Kamal Khan, and Attaullah Tarar.
During his visit, Prime Minister Sharif will hold discussions with Amir Sheikh Tamim and Prime Minister/Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. The agenda will include a review of bilateral relations and the exploration of new opportunities for cooperation, particularly in trade and investment.

Leadership delegations from the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and the Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA) are also scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister to discuss potential investment opportunities in Pakistan.
Moreover, Prime Minister Sharif will inaugurate the cultural exhibition “Manzar: Art and Architecture in Pakistan from 1940 to Present” on October 31, 2024. This exhibition aims to showcase Pakistan’s rich cultural and architectural heritage while emphasizing the strong connections between the people of Pakistan and Qatar.
