ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday briefed the cabinet members on his recent visits to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, terming them successful and productive.
The prime minister, addressing the cabinet’s meeting, said that he held very useful discussions with the leadership of Saudi Arabia and Qatar during which subjects like solar energy, minerals, mines, and IT sectors were reviewed.
He noted that soon a delegation of Qatar Investment Authority would visit Pakistan as Doha had announced to invest $3 billion in Pakistan.
He added Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, during a meeting, had told him that there was immense potential for IT-trained people in the Kingdom and asked him to send more skilled people from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia.

He said Amir of Qatar also shown interest in setting up an IT park in Pakistan.
The prime minister said Pakistan and Azerbaijan had also agreed to strengthen the bilateral investment to $2 billion in diverse areas.
He added the understanding between the two countries was reached during a visit of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev in the shape of agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs).
