DUBAI: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday invited UAE businesses to explore investment opportunities in the country’s key sectors such as energy, infrastructure, mining, and IT.
The prime minister made the offer during a meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates in Dubai.
The Prime Minister is in Dubai for the World Governments Summit 2025 at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Radio Pakistan reported.
Shehbaz Sharif lauded the transformative and timely initiative, providing a platform to world leaders, policymakers and experts, where they could gather under one roof to hold global discourse on the future of governance and a better future.
He termed the UAE as Pakistan’s trusted ally and highlighted Pakistan’s pro-investment policies aimed at facilitating Emirati investors in key sectors such as energy, infrastructure, mining and IT. He invited Emirati businesses to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum reiterated Dubai’s commitment to further strengthening economic and cultural ties with Pakistan.
He expressed support for increased collaboration in emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and climate resilience initiatives. Both leaders agreed to maintain high-level engagements to promote stronger bilateral cooperation and identify new opportunities for economic and strategic collaboration.

The Prime Minister thanked the UAE leadership for their steadfast support and exceptional care extended to the Pakistan community in the UAE.

The UAE remains one of Pakistan’s key economic and strategic partners, with strong collaboration across multiple sectors.
Pakistani diaspora in the UAE, which is the second largest Pakistani expatriate community worldwide, continues to play a pivotal role in the development and success of both countries, serving as a bridge between the two nations.
