Pakistan’s PM Lauds Saudi Arabia’s Constant Support in Meeting with Imam-e-Kaaba

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar commended Saudi Arabia for consistently standing by Pakistan during challenging periods and offering support in various sectors.

Talking to Imam-e-Kaaba Dr. Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, who is on four days official visit to Pakistan, the primer highlighted the strong historical ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, grounded in shared religious beliefs, values, and traditions.

PM Kakar expressed appreciation to Saudi Arabia for its developmental aid in the education and healthcare sectors in Pakistan. He highlighted the exemplary support provided to Pakistani workers in the Kingdom by the Saudi government.

Saudi Arabia’s Unconditional Support for Palestinians

The prime minister acknowledged the recent unconditional support for Palestinians demonstrated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince during an emergency session of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC). 

PM Kakar strongly condemned the atrocities in Gaza, urging the establishment of a corridor for the uninterrupted supply of humanitarian aid.

Addressing Islamophobia, the prime minister underscored the importance of educating the youth through documentaries on Islamic teachings, history, and culture. He suggested translating and broadcasting these documentaries in various languages worldwide to convey the true essence of Islam, utilizing the Union of OIC news agencies’ platform.

Imam-e-Kaaba described the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as fraternal and exemplary. He praised the significant contribution of the Pakistani diaspora to the development of Saudi Arabia and emphasized raising the younger generation in accordance with Islamic principles.

Expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality during his visit, Imam-e-Kaaba thanked Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by interim federal ministers Aneeq Ahmed and Madad Ali Sindhi, PM’s Special Assistant Tahir Ashrafi, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Bin Saeed Al-Malki, and senior officials.
