ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid tribute to the security forces, commending their successful anti-terror operations in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
He praised the bravery of the soldiers who eliminated multiple terrorists during these missions and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to eradicating terrorism.
In a statement from the PM Office, he honored the sacrifices of those soldiers who lost their lives, offering prayers for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks in paradise and for strength for their grieving families.
“The sacrifices of our soldiers will never be forgotten. Our fight against terrorism will persist until we rid the country of this threat,” the prime minister stated.
Earlier today, Pakistan Army media affairs wing said in a statement that twelve terrorists were killed, and six security personnel were martyred during clashes between security forces and members of fitna al khawarij in nonwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said the military on Friday.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media affairs wing of the Pakistan Army, the operations took place in North and South Waziristan on Thursday and Friday respectively.
