Pakistan’s PM Orders Enhanced Security for Chinese Nationals

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday directed all security agencies to ensure comprehensive security measures for Chinese nationals engaged in various projects across Pakistan.

Chairing a meeting to review security situation of the country, the Prime Minister underscored his personal commitment to overseeing discussions concerning overall national security, particularly the safety of Chinese citizens.

Emphasizing an unwavering commitment to combat terrorism, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed the Interior Ministry to enhance collaboration with provincial authorities to bolster provincial anti-terrorism departments.

Furthermore, he called for the development of a comprehensive strategy to regularly audit security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

During the session, the Interior Ministry provided a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister regarding the country’s law and order situation and the ministry’s performance.

The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Naqvi, senior officials from security agencies, and relevant stakeholders.
