ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick on Tuesday praised Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir for addressing the Kashmir issue during his successful visit to the United States.

In a statement, Mushaal appreciated the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) for unequivocally emphasizing to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres that lasting peace in South Asia depends on the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in alignment with UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. This, she notes, injects fresh momentum into the Kashmir freedom movement, showcasing Pakistan’s unwavering support.

The SAPM praises the COAS for strongly highlighting the unilateral, unconstitutional, and illegal actions of the Narendra Modi-led Indian government in changing the special status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) at the highest international level.

Mushaal condemns the Indian government’s brutality and terrorism, affecting minority communities within and outside the country, as evidenced by global terrorist networks targeting people in Pakistan, Canada, and the US.

Pakistan Urges UN Bodies to Expose India’s Brutal Actions

She urged UN bodies and global powers to heed the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) report, exposing India’s brutal actions. The USCIRF’s call to designate India as a “country of particular concern” under the US Religious Freedom Act is emphasized, citing the serious threats to religious freedom posed by the Indian government’s efforts to silence activists, journalists, and lawyers abroad.

Mushaal calls on the international community to reject double standards and take decisive actions against India, preventing a potential human catastrophe. She highlights the global spread of India’s terrorist networks and emphasizes that both India and Israel cannot suppress the freedom struggles of Kashmiris and Palestinians through genocidal actions.

Mushaal urges world powers and human rights organizations to press India and Israel to cease their genocidal actions, acknowledging the birth rights of the people of Kashmir and Palestine.
