ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will travel to Saudi Arabia to attend a joint Arab-Islamic follow-up summit in the Kingdom on November 11, local media reported on Saturday.

The summit will focus on the ongoing Israeli aggression in the Palestinian territories and Lebanon, as well as the current developments in the region.

PM Shehbaz will arrive in the Kingdom on November 10 to participate in this important meeting, where leaders from Islamic countries will present their proposals for resolution.

In recent remarks after returning home from Doha, PM Shehbaz referred to Qatar as his “second home,” expressing gratitude to Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani for the invitation to visit.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Shehbaz returned to Pakistan after successfully completing a four-day official visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, where he met with the top leadership of both countries.

The health ministry in Gaza reported on Saturday that at least 43,314, Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in the ongoing Israeli bombardment campaign in the besieged territory since October 7, 2023.

The death toll includes 55 deaths in the previous 24 hours, according to the health ministry, which said 102,019 people have been injured in the Gaza Strip since Israel launched the ongoing bombardment campaign on October 7, 2023.
