Explosion in Ankara

On Sunday morning, two terrorists detonated a bomb near government buildings in the capital city of Ankara, leaving them both dead and injuring two police officers.

The outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party militant group claimed responsibility for the explosion.

The Turkish defense ministry said in a statement that many militants were “neutralized”, a term mostly used to mean killed, in air attacks that destroyed twenty targets — shelters, caves, and depots used by the PKK in Metina, Hakurk, Qandil, and Gara regions of Iraq.
