ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday called on President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad and discussed the overall economic and financial situation in the country.
During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on proposals regarding the provision of relief to the people in the upcoming fiscal budget.
President Asif Ali Zardari said the government should take special care of the poor and the middle-class segments of society in the budget.
Both leaders also discussed development projects in the upcoming budget.
PM Shehbaz apprised President Zardari about his recent visit to China.
The President assured the Prime Minister of his cooperation in the country’s development and achieving economic goals.
Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal was also present at the meeting.
