He said, “this is my message to the entire world, the UN, and OIC, saying it is a question of survival”.

Shehbaz Sharif said that no doubt Ankara would do all possible efforts for the rehabilitation of the earthquake-affected people but nothing could bring the loved ones back.

The Prime Minister said that he was there to express condolences over the recent destruction caused by the quake as Turkiye and Pakistan were “two souls and one heart.”

Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan has been providing foodstuff, blankets, and other relief items. However, following his discussion with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, Pakistan had changed its strategy to give attention on the supply of winter tents.

He added that after his return to Islamabad, he would interact with the tent manufacturers of Pakistan and devise a roadmap to ensure the speedy production of tents to supply temporary shelters to the Turkish brothers and sisters.

He said that Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority would dispatch relief items through land, air and sea routes. The Prime Minister further said that being a Muslim brotherly country, Pakistan was obliged to assist its Turkish brothers and hoped that the two countries would jointly cope with the current challenges.
