PESHAWAR: In a successful operation, Pakistan’s security forces apprehended a highly wanted terrorist associated with the banned Tahrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday.
According to APP news agency, while citing a security official, security forces conducted the operation in the Mardan district of the province and averted a major terrorism attempt in Peshawar.
Based on the crucial information of the arrested terrorist, a substantial cache of explosives, including detonators, explosive materials, and arms, was discovered in Khyber. The TTP members had been plotting terrorist attacks in Peshawar, said the official.
The official affirmed that the Pakistan Army remains resolute in preventing anti-state elements from succeeding, emphasizing that operations will persist until the complete eradication of terrorism.
