RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces have killed 11 terrorists in three separate anti-terror operations in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military media wing said in a press release on Wednesday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation was conducted by the security forces in the Tank district on the reported presence of terrorists.
During the conduct of the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and killed seven terrorists.
Another intelligence-based operation was conducted in the Datta Khel area of the North Waziristan district. During an exchange of fire, security forces killed two terrorists, ISPR stated.
The statement said in the third encounter that took place in the Mamad Gat area in the Mohmand district. After an intense fire exchange two terrorists were killed, ISPR stated.
“Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed terrorists who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as innocent civilians,” ISPR stated.
The ISPR said that sanitisation operations are being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. “Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” ISPR resolved.
