Pakistan’s Security Forces Kill Five Terrorists in Balochistan

The killed terrorists were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces killed five terrorists during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the Zhob district of the country’s southwestern Balochistan province, a military statement said on Sunday.

The military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said that during the night of 18 and 19 January, security forces detected movement by a group of terrorists near the general area of Sambaza of Zhob district.

It said that the terrorists were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The ISPR said the troops effectively engaged and thwarted the attempt of the terrorists to infiltrate resultantly, five terrorists were sent to hell.

“Pakistan has consistently been asking interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border,” the statement said.

Pakistan military’s media wing said the interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.

“Security Forces of Pakistan remain committed to secure its borders and eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country,” ISPR said.
