Pakistan’s Security Forces Kill Nine Terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces have killed at least nine terrorists, including key commanders, in two separate operations in northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a military statement said on Monday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, the intelligence-based operations were conducted in the Khyber and Lakki Marwat districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The ISPR statement read that security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Tirah area of Khyber district, where seven terrorists, including high-value targets Terrorist Commander Najeeb alias Abdul Ur Rehman and Terrorist Commander Ishfaq alias Muavia, were eliminated.

These terrorists were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities and were wanted by law enforcement agencies. The operation also resulted in the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the terrorists.

In another operation conducted in Lakki Marwat district, security forces engaged with terrorists. As a result of intense firing, two terrorists were killed.

The ISPR said that sanitization operations are ongoing in the area to root out any remaining terrorists, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to eradicate terrorism from the country.
