RAWALPINDI: Pakistan security forces on Thursday killed three terrorists in the southwestern Balochistan province, the military’s media affairs wing said.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that it was an intelligence-based operation conducted in the Harnai district of Balochistan.
“Own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and as a result, three terrorists were sent to hell,” said the ISPR.
The statement read that during the operation, led by Major Muhammad Haseeb, an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded on the leading vehicle of the security forces.
As a result of the blast, Major Muhammad Haseeb, who was leading his troops from the front, was martyred, along with Havildar Noor Ahmed.
Major Muhammad Haseeb, 28, was a resident of Multan district in Punjab, while 38-year-old Havildar Noor Ahmed was from Barkhan district in Balochistan.
Pakistan security forces are determined to thwart attempts to sabotage the peace, stability, and progress of Balochistan, the ISPR said.
“The sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve, ” it added.
