RAWALPINDI: Two terrorists were killed, and four others were seriously injured during Pakistan security forces’ intelligence-based operation in Ursoon area near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Chitral district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Wednesday.
According to ISPR, on the night of 7/8 November 2023, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Ursoon area near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Chitral district.
During the conduct of the operation, an intense fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists. During the exchange of intense fire, two terrorists were killed, while four terrorists received serious injuries, ISPR added.
Sanitization of the surrounding areas is being carried out to neutralize any other terrorists found in the area.
Locals of the area appreciated the successful operation by Pakistan’s security forces. Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, ISPR added.
