RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces successfully thwarted a terrorist attempt on Wednesday, in the Port Authority Colony of Gwadar. The security forces immediately and effectively engaged the terrorists, and in the ensuing fire exchange, all eight terrorists were killed, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.
According to ISPR, on March 20 (Wednesday), a group of eight terrorists attempted to enter Port Authority Colony in Gwadar, which was successfully thwarted by the security forces personnel. “Troops employed for security responded immediately and effectively engaged the terrorists, and in the ensuing fire exchange, all eight terrorists were sent to hell,” ISPR stated.
A large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives was also recovered from the killed terrorists, ISPR said in its press release.
However, during the intense exchange of fire, two brave soldiers; Sepoy Bahar Khan (resident of DG Khan district) and Sepoy Imran Ali (resident of Khairpur district) having fought gallantly, sacrificed their lives and embraced martyrdom, ISPR stated.
Pakistan’s security forces, in step with the Nation, remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging the peace and stability of Balochistan, and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve, ISPR resolved.
