GAZA, Palestine: Palestine has attributed the deadly Israeli airstrike on the Al-Tabin School in Gaza City to the failure of the international community and its institutions. The attack, which occurred early on Saturday, resulted in the deaths of at least 100 worshippers who were performing dawn prayers. Several others were injured in the assault on the school located in the Al-Daraj neighborhood.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the international community, including the UN Security Council, for not taking action to prevent what it describes as a genocide against Palestinians. The statement called for immediate intervention from the UN Security Council to enforce its resolutions and hold Israel accountable for its actions.

This latest incident brings the total number of schools targeted by Israeli forces in Gaza City over the past week to six, according to Anadolu. Despite mediation efforts from Egypt, the US, and Qatar, which included calls for a ceasefire and hostage exchange, Israel has continued its offensive.

The ongoing conflict, which has been exacerbated by a cross-border attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas, has led to nearly 39,800 casualties since October. Israel faces accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which has ordered a halt to its military operations in Rafah, a city heavily impacted by the conflict.
