GAZA CITY: The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 27,019 in ongoing relentless Israeli strikes since October 7, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza. The announcement comes as the Israeli attacks against Gaza enters its 118th day, marking a devastating toll on the region.
The Health Ministry also reported that 66,139 persons have been injured during the prolonged Israeli forces onslaught. In the past 24 hours alone, the Israeli army carried out 15 massacres across the Gaza Strip, resulting in 118 fatalities and 190 injuries.
The statement from the Health Ministry highlighted the dire situation, noting that many people are still trapped under rubble and on the roads, with rescuers facing challenges in reaching them.
Approximately 85 percent of Gazans have been displaced, and all of them are facing food insecurity, according to the United Nations. The conflict has left hundreds of thousands of people without shelter, and the flow of aid trucks into the territory has decreased by more than half since the start of the conflict.
