ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Friday fixed for hearing the plea seeking being public classified part – volume 10 – of the report compiled by a six-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) constituted by the Supreme Court (SC) to investigate the Sharif family’s offshore assets as mentioned by the Panama Papers.

A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial will hear the petition submitted by the Broadsheet Company, on August 22. The company, in the plea, stated that it aided the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in locating the overseas properties of the Sharif family. However, the accountability watchdog did not make the payment for the job, it added.

Broadsheet appealed to the top court to release Volume 10. The purpose was to present Volume 10 of the investigation in a British court as evidence, it added.

It is pertinent to mention here that Broadsheet had opted legal action against NAB in a UK court to get the outstanding dues.
