Paris Olympics 2024: Japan, Australia Lead Gold Medal Count

PARIS: 13 more gold medals were awarded, with Japan and Australia leading the tally with four golds each on the points table on the second day of the Paris Olympics 2024. The fight for medals continues in the Olympics, where after two days of contests, Japan has claimed four gold, two silver and a bronze medal. Australia is trailing behind with an equal number of 4 gold medals and two bronze, totalling with six medals.

In terms of the overall medals won so far, the US leads the table with 12 — 3 gold and bronze each, and 6 silver medals.  Host nation France has won a total of 8 medals so far, with 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze. Korea has won 3 gold, 2 silver and a bronze, while China has claimed three gold medals, one silver, and 2 bronze medals.

Italy has secured 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals. Kazakhstan has a gold and 2 bronze medals to its credit so far, while Belgium has claimed a gold and bronze each.

Hong Kong, Germany, and Uzbekistan have so far won one gold medal each, the UK two silver and two bronze, Brazil one silver and 2 bronze, while Canada has claimed a silver and a bronze.
