DUBAI: Model Shanina Shaik, who is of Saudi, Pakistani, Lithuanian, and Australian descent, has taken to social media to promote a new pop-up store in Los Angeles by FWRD, the luxury e-commerce platform owned by Revolve Group. The platform is known for having supermodel Kendall Jenner as its creative director.
The FWRD pop-up store, located at 8804 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, opened on June 9, marking the e-commerce platform’s first foray into brick-and-mortar retail. Shaik shared the news on Instagram, showcasing an image of herself wearing a blush-toned sequined Alexander Wang dress.
This promotional endeavor follows Shaik’s recent trip to South Korea, where she made progress with her latest venture – her own beauty brand. The model shared photos of her time in South Korea, a country renowned for its beauty and skincare industry.
Shanina Shaik Expresses Her Excitement
Expressing her excitement, Shaik wrote on Instagram, “I’ve been manifesting this trip for so many years!! I journal all my dreams and personal goals.” She added, “One dream in particular (and so important to me) was to create a skincare line using K-skincare ingredients and technology. I’m here in Seoul meeting my manufacturers and discussing how I can incorporate more unique ingredients and formulas into the brand products. And of course – enjoying the amazing food and sights of Seoul!! I’m extremely invested and hands-on with my brand and want to make sure that everyone can experience the best treatment from their skincare products. I love it here.”
Shaik announced in April that she would be partnering with incubator Beaubble to launch her own beauty brand called Sala, meaning “island” in Lithuanian. The brand is set to debut later this year, starting with a single mascara. Beaubble, known for incubating influencer and model-founded brands, saw Shaik as a natural fit for launching a beauty line due to her knowledge and expertise in the field.
In September, Shaik shared the joyous news of welcoming her first child, a baby boy named Zai Adesuyan Matthew, with her partner Matthew Adesuyan, the head of a record label in Los Angeles.
