LOS ANGELES: Paul Hollywood, star of The Great British Bake Off, has surprised fans with revelations about his budding friendship with Hollywood actress Blake Lively.
In an interview with The Times on December 31, Hollywood disclosed that Lively has been texting him occasionally, adding a touch of glamour to his already high-profile life.
The 58-year-old celebrity chef shared that the friendship blossomed after Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, revealed themselves to be fans of the beloved baking show. “I’ve got a lot of time for Blake,” Hollywood said during the interview.
“She texts occasionally, sort of to catch up on what she’s been up to, what Ryan’s up to, and it’s lovely because regardless of their job, they’re just a normal family—mum and dad to some great kids. They’re really nice people.”
Friendship Amid Legal Battles
Hollywood’s comments come at a time when Blake Lively is embroiled in a legal dispute with her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.
Lively recently filed a complaint accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment on set and alleging that his publicists launched a smear campaign against her after she reported the misconduct.
