ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday, unveiled the lineup of match officials for the tri-nation ODI series featuring New Zealand and South Africa.
Australia’s David Boon, a distinguished member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will oversee the tournament.
This tri-nation ODI series will be played from February 8 to 14 in Lahore and Karachi on the upgraded Gaddafi Stadium and National Bank Stadium.
Kicking off the action, Pakistan will face New Zealand in the inaugural match on Saturday, February 8, at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The on-field officiating will be in the capable hands of England’s Michael Gough, also from the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, alongside Pakistan’s own Faisal Khan Aafreedi, an ICC International Panel Umpire.
The third umpire for this encounter will be Richard Illingworth, another esteemed member of the ICC Elite Panel, while Rashid Riaz, from the ICC International Panel, will take on the role of fourth umpire.
The Gaddafi Stadium will also host the clash between New Zealand and South Africa on February 10. In this match, Richard Illingworth and Rashid Riaz will again serve as the on-field umpires, with Michael Gough stepping in as the third umpire.
The fourth umpire for the day match will be Asif Yaqoob, representing the ICC’s International Panel of Umpires.

As the series progresses, the action will shift to Karachi’s National Bank Stadium for the final league match and the grand finale of the tri-series.
In the Pakistan vs South Africa showdown, Asif Yaqoob and Michael Gough will officiate as the on-field umpires, while Richard Illingworth and Faisal Khan Aafreedi will oversee the third and fourth umpiring duties, respectively.
Culminating in a thrilling finale on Friday, February 14, ICC Elite Panel Umpire Ahsan Raza will join Richard Illingworth as on-field umpires, while Michael Gough will take up the third umpire position and Asif Yaqoob will fulfill the role of fourth umpire in this much-anticipated conclusion to the series.
