PCB Unveils HBL PSL 9 Trophy

LAHORE: The sparkling Orion trophy of the HBL PSL (Pakistan Super League) 9th Edition was unveiled at the lush green Polo ground fields Race Course Park Lahore here on Tuesday. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, franchise owners, representatives from the HBL, other sponsors, and star cricketers also attended the ceremony.

“The Orion Trophy” embodies the spirit of the PSL of motivating cricketers to strive for glory.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi said that HBL PSL has become a brand and played its continuous role in the success of cricket in Pakistan, adding that he was excited to witness a month-long celebration of the beautiful game of cricket and the excitement and drama that accompanies it. 

The Chairman said that the PSL has the potential to connect the hearts of people across the country. He also paid homage to the key sponsor, HBL, and other contributors for playing a crucial role in truly uplifting the game of cricket in Pakistan through their support, which has become synonymous with the name of the league.

Franchise Owners’ Remarks on PSL 9

Meanwhile, the owner of Islamabad United, Ali Naqvi, said that they were excited about the ninth Edition of the HBL PSL, adding that Islamabad United has been one of the most successful teams in the tournament, and they wanted to initiate the event with the same spirit. 

In his remarks, the owner of Karachi Kings, Salman Iqbal, said that Karachi Kings would be ready to turn the tables in the HBL PSL 9 with their striking performances. CEO Lahore Qalandar Atif Rana said that being the two-time HBL PSL champions, the Qalandars would try their best to complete a hat-trick of triumphs for the first time in the history of the league. 

Ali Khan Tareen, owner of Multan Sultans, said he was super glad to be a part of the HBL PSL again as It was such an exciting venture to be a part of as it spreads smiles on the faces of many people throughout the country. 

Chairman Peshawar Zalmi, Javed Afridi, said that he was glad to be part of the ninth Edition of the HBL PSL and excited to take his team into the ground under the supervision of the batting maestro Babar Azam-led.

Nadeem Omar, the owner of Quetta Gladiators, said that the Orion Trophy had been unveiled, and this occasion was no less a motivation for team Quetta to shine in the HBL PSL 9.
