ISLAMABAD: The rescue operation after the deadly suicide bombing at Peshawar’s Police Lines mosque continues, with rescuers recovering 17 dead bodies and one injured.
A suicide bomber blew himself up during Zuhar prayers yesterday when 300-400 cops were gathered in the main mosque of Police Lines.

According to the Spokesman of Rescue 1122 KP, Bilal Faizi, the operation was still ongoing, and heavy machinery was being used to cut heavy boulders from the collapsed building of the mosque.
“With the recovery of bodies, the number of casualties has risen to over 60,” Bilal explained.
He informed the media that a new squad of Rescue 1122 had arrived early in the morning to replace those who had worked all night in the bitterly cold weather.
