Peshawar: University Organizes Training Program for Afghan students

PESHAWAR: Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) in Peshawar has organized a fifteen-day capacity-building program for Afghan students aspiring for a career in the fashion designing sector.

The training comes under the initiative of Empowering Women Society.

According to a press release issued on Wednesday, the program has been arranged with the help of the German organization, Friedrich Naumann Foundation.

Director of IMSciences, Muhammad Mohsin Khan said that the course aims at the development of new business models and supply channels for Afghan people to provide them with business and employment opportunities for them in the fashion industry.

The training program kicked off on November 22 and would continue for the next 15 days.

During the training, skilled facilitators from Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women’s University and Iqra National University Peshawar will impart training to the participants.

The inauguration session of the course was attended by representatives of different organizations and members of the Afghan Consulate.

The guest speakers encouraged the students to attend such training where they could enhance their employable skills along with their education.
