Photo Exhibition Held to Show Kyrgyzstan’s Culture, Tourism, Friendship with Pakistan

​ISLAMABAD: A solemn event dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and the 100th Anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region has been organized at the Kyrgyz Embassy in Islamabad, a statement said on Friday.

The representatives of business and scientific circles, Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies’ (IPDS) members, as well as students of the International School of Young Diplomats attended the event.

During the ceremony, a photo exhibition was arranged for the participants about the history of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the establishment of diplomatic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.

Participants were shown images and video clips demonstrating beautiful places and elements of Kyrgyzstan’s culture, and tourism and investment opportunities in the country. In his speech, Kyrgyz ambassador to Pakistan Ulanbek Totuiaev provided detailed information on the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast. The envoy said that today Kyrgyzstan is aimed at strengthening interaction with the nations of the region.

Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan cooperation

Noting the significance of promoting cooperation with Pakistan, he proposed focusing on the development of cultural-humanitarian cooperation as the most promising connecting element between the two friendly nations.
