Photo Exhibition on Stamps Featuring China’s Natural Beauty Starts in Mongolia

ULAN BATOR, Mongolia: A photo exhibition on stamps showcasing China’s natural environment opened in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia on Friday.

A photo exhibition on stamps showcasing the natural environment of China started at the Chinese Cultural Center in Ulan Bator, Mongolia’s capital, on Friday.

The exhibition, “Beautiful China in Postage Stamps,” includes five different areas with 71 sets of stamps displayed, namely Animals and Plants in the Wild, Water Resources, China’s World Heritage, Ecological Conservation, Greening, and Natural Reserves.

Li Zhi, Director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Ulan Bator, said at the inaugural ceremony, “Since the founding of New China, China has issued thousands of sets of stamps, many of which reflect the nature and ecological environment. The stamp art reflects the Chinese concept of ecological civilization of the harmonious development of man and nature.”

The China International Cultural Exchange Center and Chinese Cultural Center in Ulan Bator co-organized the exhibition. Five specialists from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences lectured at the center on the modernization of China and the development of Xizang. —Xinhua/APP
