PIC Declared First Category-I KP Hospital

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC) has received an ISO certificate, making it the first government category-I hospital in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the first government hospital in Pakistan.

PIC Spokesperson, Riffat Anjum Tuesday said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission had issued a formal licence to the PIC after examining various hospitals. She added that the facility was declared the best owing to the facilities it is offering, including standard treatment, patient safety, patient care, emergency services, etc.

She said that for the first time in the province, hospitals were examined for issuance of licenses, and PIC achieved the pride by fulfilling all the formalities set by the Healthcare Commission.

Dr. Naimat Shah, PIC Director said that it was an honour and a matter of pride for all the PIC staff. He further said that ISO certification became possible due to the tireless work and dedication of all the staff.

He said that the PIC was committed to providing quality treatment to the patients. —APP
