ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has expressed strong condemnation for the terrorist attack on police personnel assigned to provide security to polio workers in Bajaur.
The attack resulted in the tragic loss of five police officials and left 22 others wounded. The blast targeted a police vehicle in the Belot Farsh area of Mamund tehsil.
The prime minister paid tribute to the security personnel and polio workers, emphasizing that terrorists would not succeed in their nefarious designs.
He offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the martyrs’ elevated ranks and the swift recovery of the injured.
PM Kakar reaffirmed his commitment to continue the anti-polio campaign until the complete eradication of the virus in the country. He urged the public to disregard propaganda against the polio vaccine, highlighting the endorsement of the anti-polio program by renowned Islamic scholars and Jami Al-Azhar, Egypt.
