ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Tuesday directed the authorities concerned to take effective and timely measures to improve the load management and power transmission systems ahead of the summer season.
Chairing a review meeting to discuss the issue, the prime minister asked the relevant departments to make a comprehensive and concrete plan before the onset of summer.
He instructed to ensure early completion of the strategy for better load management and power transmission ahead of summer.
Calling for minimum load shedding during Ramzan, he said that it was pleasing that the proportion of local fuels and alternate energy was increasing for power generation, reducing dependence on imported fuels and the import bill.
Haveli Bahadur Shah Power Plant
The prime minister also instructed urgent steps to operationalize the Haveli Bahadur Shah Power Plant fully.
He directed the power and petroleum divisions and other relevant departments to improve coordination for better load management and power transmission.
