ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has instructed authorities to develop a comprehensive strategy, incorporating input from all stakeholders, to enhance the performance of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
During a meeting in Islamabad focused on improving FBR performance, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of leveraging modern technology to enhance the taxation system, highlighting that revenue collection is integral to the national economy.
The meeting addressed effective measures against smuggling and explored proposals for restructuring the FBR, with a focus on widening the tax net and digitizing the taxation system.
