ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif directed the concerned authorities on Monday to make fool-proof arrangements to deal with the possible flood situation in Sutlej, Chenab, and Ravi rivers.
He also instructed them to disseminate information in the likely affected areas and plan a prompt and safe evacuation. The Rangers and Rescue 1122 staff received praise from the prime minister for their quick evacuation and helping those in Shakargarh who were stranded in floodwaters.
He said hundreds of people, including women and children, were saved due to the Rangers and Rescue’s quick response efforts.
